C\u2019est connu, les chats sont difficiles pour la nourriture. Toutefois, comprendre les bases de la digestion de votre chat peut vous aider \u00e0 lui fournir les nutriments dont il a besoin. <\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>

Tous les f\u00e9lins sont strictement carnivores; ils doivent donc consommer des prot\u00e9ines d\u2019origine animale pour satisfaire leurs besoins nutritionnels. Il est important de comprendre le m\u00e9canisme de digestion du chat pour choisir le type de nourriture qui lui convient le mieux.<\/p>

L\u2019appareil digestif du chat est con\u00e7u pour dig\u00e9rer les prot\u00e9ines, les lipides et les autres nutriments d\u2019origine animale. Il n\u2019est pas<\/strong> con\u00e7u pour dig\u00e9rer les c\u00e9r\u00e9ales, les fruits ou les l\u00e9gumes. Le tube digestif du chat \u00e9tant court, la nourriture le traverse rapidement. Cela signifie que les chats ont besoin de petits repas fr\u00e9quents tout au long de la journ\u00e9e.<\/p>

La nourriture du chat doit \u00eatre compos\u00e9e d\u2019aliments riches en prot\u00e9ines tels que la viande, le poisson, les \u0153ufs et certains produits laitiers. Le chat a \u00e9galement besoin d\u2019acides gras essentiels pour rester en bonne sant\u00e9. Il est donc important qu\u2019il consomme r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement du poisson gras, comme du saumon ou des sardines. \u00c9vitez de lui donner des aliments transform\u00e9s et des friandises pour les humains, car ils peuvent contenir beaucoup de sucre, de sodium et d\u2019ar\u00f4mes artificiels, et sont peu nutritifs.<\/p>

Pour vous assurer que votre chat ait tous les nutriments dont il a besoin, demandez \u00e0 votre m\u00e9decin v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire quelle nourriture convient le mieux \u00e0 minou. Votre m\u00e9decin v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire peut vous aider \u00e0 bien \u00e9quilibrer les prot\u00e9ines, les lipides et les glucides pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins alimentaires de votre chat. L\u2019\u00e2ge, la taille, le niveau d\u2019activit\u00e9 et m\u00eame la race doivent \u00eatre pris en compte lors de ces d\u00e9cisions.<\/p>

DIGESTION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Le processus de digestion commence dans la cavit\u00e9 buccale, o\u00f9 une petite quantit\u00e9 d\u2019enzymes (amylases) est pr\u00e9sente dans la salive. Une fois mastiqu\u00e9e, la nourriture est aval\u00e9e et p\u00e9n\u00e8tre dans l\u2019\u0153sophage, qui relie la cavit\u00e9 buccale \u00e0 l\u2019estomac. Bien qu\u2019aucune digestion n\u2019ait lieu \u00e0 ce niveau, les cons\u00e9quences peuvent \u00eatre graves si la fonction de d\u00e9glutition est anormale.<\/p>

L\u2019estomac, qui a un volume relativement important, re\u00e7oit la nourriture m\u00e2ch\u00e9e et s\u00e9cr\u00e8te des sucs gastriques pour humidifier et diluer la nourriture, des acides pour les d\u00e9composer et quelques enzymes. Au cours de son trajet, la nourriture pr\u00e9dig\u00e9r\u00e9e quitte l\u2019estomac par le pylore.<\/p>

L\u2019intestin gr\u00eale est un long passage \u00e9troit; c\u2019est l\u00e0 que se produit l\u2019essentiel de la digestion et de l\u2019absorption des nutriments. Plusieurs types d\u2019enzymes sont produits par le pancr\u00e9as pour transformer les prot\u00e9ines, les lipides et les glucides en micro-unit\u00e9s (comme les acides amin\u00e9s) permettant leur absorption par la paroi intestinale. Les organes essentiels \u00e0 la transformation des aliments gras sont le foie et la v\u00e9sicule biliaire, qui produisent des \u00e9mulsifiants permettant le transport des lipides par le sang vers les cellules. Ils contribuent \u00e9galement \u00e0 l\u2019excr\u00e9tion des d\u00e9chets dans le gros intestin. C\u2019est dans cette partie de l\u2019appareil digestif que le contenu liqu\u00e9fi\u00e9 de l\u2019intestin gr\u00eale est absorb\u00e9, cr\u00e9ant ainsi une substance plus solide, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire les selles d\u00e9pos\u00e9es dans la liti\u00e8re du chat.<\/p>

SIGNES DE TROUBLES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Si une partie du tube digestif cesse de fonctionner normalement, des signes de maladie apparaissent et sont parfois clairement caract\u00e9ristiques par la partie affect\u00e9e.<\/p>

Cavit\u00e9 buccale<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0:<\/em> Chez le chat, les maladies bucco-dentaires entra\u00eenent souvent une perte d\u2019app\u00e9tit, une g\u00eane lors de la mastication ou une hypersalivation. Elles peuvent aussi amener le chat \u00e0 mastiquer en penchant la t\u00eate sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9.<\/p>

\u0152sophage<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0:<\/em> Lorsque cette partie est touch\u00e9e par une maladie, les sympt\u00f4mes peuvent comprendre la perte d\u2019app\u00e9tit, l\u2019\u00e9coulement de salive, la r\u00e9gurgitation et un malaise g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9. Le chat peut faire de la fi\u00e8vre en cas de l\u00e9sion infect\u00e9e dans la muqueuse de l\u2019\u0153sophage.<\/p>

Duod\u00e9num<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0:<\/em> Lorsque l\u2019intestin gr\u00eale cesse de fonctionner comme il le devrait, les sympt\u00f4mes comprennent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une mauvaise digestion, notamment des douleurs abdominales, des flatulences, de la diarrh\u00e9e, des selles sanguinolentes, la perte d\u2019app\u00e9tit, la perte de poids et, finalement, la malnutrition.<\/p>

C\u00f4lon<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0:<\/em> Les probl\u00e8mes touchant le gros intestin sont les m\u00eames que ceux mentionn\u00e9s ci-dessus, mais s\u2019accompagnent \u00e9galement de constipation, d\u2019efforts pour d\u00e9f\u00e9quer ou d\u2019incontinence.<\/p>

Derri\u00e8re<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0:<\/em> Le l\u00e9chage autour de l\u2019anus et le frottement du derri\u00e8re sur le sol ou d\u2019autres surfaces peuvent indiquer un probl\u00e8me \u00e0 cet endroit.<\/p>
