Rester hydrat\u00e9 est encore plus important si un chien ou un chat est actif et expos\u00e9 au soleil.<\/p>

Signes de D\u00e9shydratation<\/strong><\/p>

La d\u00e9shydratation signifie que votre corps ne peut pas remplacer les fluides assez rapidement, et c’est extr\u00eamement dangereux. Les signes courants de d\u00e9shydratation chez les animaux de compagnie comprennent les gencives s\u00e8ches, la peau s\u00e8che, les yeux enfonc\u00e9s, un hal\u00e8tement excessif, la l\u00e9thargie, la perte d’app\u00e9tit, la bouche s\u00e8che, la d\u00e9pression, un rythme cardiaque \u00e9lev\u00e9 et une \u00e9lasticit\u00e9 cutan\u00e9e r\u00e9duite.<\/p>

Une fa\u00e7on rapide de v\u00e9rifier si votre animal a besoin de plus d’eau est de prendre d\u00e9licatement la peau le long du dos ou du cou et de la tirer vers le haut. Si elle revient rapidement \u00e0 sa position initiale \u2014 parfait ! Si elle reste soulev\u00e9e pendant quelques secondes (comme si elle \u00e9tait encore \u00ab pinc\u00e9e \u00bb), il faut agir.<\/p>

Un autre test rapide consiste \u00e0 appuyer sur les gencives avec votre doigt. Les gencives d’un chien bien hydrat\u00e9 deviennent blanches un instant, puis reprennent leur couleur rose, tandis que les gencives d’un chien d\u00e9shydrat\u00e9 resteront blanches pendant quelques instants. Les gencives d’un chat doivent toujours \u00eatre humides et roses, et non collantes ou s\u00e8ches. Si vous appuyez doucement sur les gencives de votre chat, la tache blanche laiss\u00e9e par votre doigt doit retrouver sa couleur normale en deux secondes ou moins.<\/p>

Si vous remarquez l’un de ces signes, ou si votre animal \u00ab \u00e9choue \u00bb aux tests, offrez-lui de l’eau imm\u00e9diatement, ou consultez le v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire s’il refuse de boire.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
