Bien qu\u2019elle touche principalement les chiens, elle peut aussi se propager aux chats qui entrent en contact avec des chiens infect\u00e9s. Les mites femelles creusent des tunnels dans la peau pour pondre leurs \u0153ufs.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Voici quelques signes associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la gale sarcoptique :<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>D\u00e9mangeaisons intenses<\/li><li>Petites bosses dures sur la peau infest\u00e9e<\/li><li>Grattage et mordillage qui entra\u00eenent la formation de plaies encro\u00fbt\u00e9es sur l\u2019abdomen, le thorax, les oreilles, les coudes et les pattes<\/li><li>L\u00e9sions cutan\u00e9es<\/li><li>Propagation de plaies sur l\u2019ensemble du corps<\/li><li>\u00c0 long terme : pellicules grasses, \u00e9paississement important de la peau avec formation de plis et de cro\u00fbtes, et plaies suintantes. \u00c0 ce stade, les chats peuvent tomber tr\u00e8s malades ou m\u00eame mourir<\/li><li>Parfois aucun signe<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>La gale sarcoptique du chat \u00a0<\/strong>(gale noto\u00e9drique) est une maladie rare de la peau qui est tr\u00e8s contagieuse et qui touche les chats autrement en bonne sant\u00e9. Les pellicules \u00ab\u2009en mouvement\u2009\u00bb sont en fait les mites qui se d\u00e9placent sur la peau du chat. Les mites <em>Cheyletiella<\/em> sont tr\u00e8s contagieuses, particuli\u00e8rement dans les chatteries ou les foyers qui comportent plusieurs animaux. Les humains sont fr\u00e9quemment infest\u00e9s par ces mites.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Voici quelques signes associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la cheyletiellose:<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Desquamation de la peau et infestation le long de la colonne<\/li><li>D\u00e9mangeaisons intenses<\/li><li>Cro\u00fbtes sur la peau et plusieurs petites bosses le long de la colonne<\/li><li>Parfois aucun signe m\u00eame si des mites sont pr\u00e9sentes et peuvent \u00eatre transmises \u00e0 d\u2019autres animaux ou aux humains<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>La trombiculose<\/strong> est caus\u00e9e des mites de la famille des <em>Trombiculidae<\/em> au stade larvaire parasitique. Ces derni\u00e8res ressemblent \u00e0 de minuscules araign\u00e9es et vivent sur les mati\u00e8res en putr\u00e9faction.
