Bien qu\u2019elle soit irr\u00e9versible et incurable, un traitement et une prise en charge appropri\u00e9s peuvent am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de vie et allonger l\u2019esp\u00e9rance de vie du chat.<\/p><p>L\u2019insuffisance r\u00e9nale aigu\u00eb (IRA) est un \u00e9pisode soudain d\u2019insuffisance r\u00e9nale ou de l\u00e9sions r\u00e9nales qui survient en quelques heures ou quelques jours. L\u2019IRA provoque l\u2019accumulation de d\u00e9chets dans le sang et emp\u00eache les reins de maintenir un bon \u00e9quilibre hydrique dans le corps. L\u2019une d\u2019elles est que comme la maladie est progressive, sa prise en charge peut am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de vie et allonger l\u2019esp\u00e9rance de vie du chat.<\/p><h3><span style=\"color: #bc202e;\"><strong>Fonction r\u00e9nale perdue<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p>Le pourcentage de perte de la fonction r\u00e9nale est souvent utilis\u00e9 pour faire r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au stade de l&#8217;insuffisance r\u00e9nale chronique (IRC) et aux signes et sympt\u00f4mes cliniques qui y sont associ\u00e9s. Les pourcentages \u00e9lev\u00e9s utilis\u00e9s peuvent \u00eatre surprenants, mais d\u00e8s que vous comprenez ce qu\u2019ils signifient, il devient plus facile de dig\u00e9rer la nouvelle et d\u2019aller de l\u2019avant en prenant en charge la maladie.<\/p><p>L&#8217;insuffisance r\u00e9nale chronique (IRC) est souvent qualifi\u00e9e de \u00ab\u2009tueur silencieux\u2009\u00bb parce que son apparition et sa progression se font habituellement \u00e0 l\u2019insu du propri\u00e9taire du chat. En fait, la plupart des gens ne s\u2019aper\u00e7oivent que quelque chose ne va pas qu\u2019aux stades les plus avanc\u00e9s de la maladie. La maladie est rarement diagnostiqu\u00e9e \u00e0 ses premiers stades, mais son traitement et sa prise en charge peuvent aider votre chat \u00e0 vivre plus longtemps et \u00e0 \u00eatre plus heureux.<\/p><h3><span style=\"color: #bc202e;\"><strong>D\u00e9tection des signes de l&#8217;IRC<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p>L\u2019International Renal Interest Society utilise un syst\u00e8me de classification des stades de l&#8217;IRC pour classer les r\u00e9sultats de tests en fonction de l\u2019un des quatre stades.
