Lorsque les reins sont affaiblis, les cons\u00e9quences peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9vastatrices.<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"color: #171b4b;\">L&#8217;insuffisance r\u00e9nale chronique (IRC) est essentiellement une maladie \u00e9volutive et les signes cliniques sont d\u2019abord imperceptibles ou subtils et l\u00e9gers. Il est admis qu\u2019environ les deux tiers, voire les trois tiers de la fonction totale des tissus r\u00e9naux (des deux reins) peuvent \u00eatre perdus avant que les signes de l&#8217;IRC se manifestent.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #171b4b;\">Les signes vont malheureusement s\u2019aggraver avec le temps et d\u2019autres signes peuvent appara\u00eetre en raison de l\u2019accumulation de toxines dans le sang ou de complications d\u00e9coulant de la tentative de l\u2019organisme de s\u2019adapter \u00e0 la maladie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"color: #bc202e;\"><strong>Stades de l\u2019insuffisance r\u00e9nale chez les chats<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"color: #171b4b;\">Il est reconnu que la maladie r\u00e9nale comporte quatre stades. Les voici\u00a0:<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"color: #bc202e;\"><strong>Stade\u00a0I\u00a0: stade pr\u00e9coce de la d\u00e9faillance<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"color: #171b4b;\">La fonction r\u00e9nale est estim\u00e9e \u00e0 moins de 99 %, mais \u00e0 plus de 33 %, et il est anormal \u00e0 ce stade d\u2019observer des sympt\u00f4mes clairs. Dans la plupart des cas, seuls des tests peuvent permettre de diagnostiquer la maladie r\u00e9nale au stade I. Les reins peuvent encore assurer leurs fonctions, mais la t\u00e2che devient de plus en plus difficile. Dans certains cas, la consommation d\u2019eau et la fr\u00e9quence des mictions ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 augmenter. Un taux de cr\u00e9atinine \u00e9lev\u00e9, un faible taux d\u2019\u00e9lectrolytes et une tension art\u00e9rielle \u00e9lev\u00e9e sont de bons indicateurs de la maladie qui peuvent conduire \u00e0 un diagnostic. Le traitement devrait \u00eatre amorc\u00e9 une fois le diagnostic pos\u00e9.<\/span><\/p><p><strong><span style=\"color: #171b4b;\">AU FUR ET \u00c0 MESURE QUE L&#8217;IRC PROGRESSE, LES SYMPT\u00d4MES CESSENT D\u2019\u00caTRE SILENCIEUX<\/span><\/strong><\/p><h3><span style=\"color: #bc202e;\"><strong>Stade\u00a0III\u00a0: stade pr\u00e9coce de l\u2019insuffisance r\u00e9nale<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"color: #171b4b;\">La fonction peut baisser \u00e0 aussi peu que 15\u00a0%. Les tests peuvent \u00e9galement r\u00e9v\u00e9ler un taux de cr\u00e9atinine plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 qu\u2019auparavant et un taux d\u2019\u00e9lectrolytes anormalement bas.
