Holiday shopping can be a stressful experience, testing even the most patient of shoppers.

For one dog recently left in a car while her owner went inside, however, it seemed that patience had run out.

On Tuesday afternoon, Brenna Boyd exited the Save-On-Foods in Nelson to the sound of a persistent car horn.

As she made her way toward the parking lot, Boyd quickly spotted the source of the noise—a Boxer dog sitting calmly in the driver’s seat, one paw resting on the car horn.

“As I walked up to the car, I just saw this very unimpressed dog honking the horn,” she said. “And there were a bunch of people nearby, all laughing and cracking up.”

Boyd said it looked like the dog had had enough of Christmas shopping and was eager to head home.

“It was hilarious—I just couldn’t stop laughing,” she said.

Boyd estimated the horn had been honking for about 10 minutes.

Her husband posted the video on Facebook, and they later found out the dog’s name is Crystal. The video has since racked up over 40,000 views.

“The owner commented on Facebook, insisting the dog wasn’t in the car for long and that she just likes to sit in the driver’s seat,” Boyd added.
